LECTURES & EVENTS
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and regularly speak to garden clubs,
church groups and other organizations that have an interest in
organic herb growing.
We are pleased to accommodate visiting groups. From spring through
fall we offer a tour of the grounds, a 45 minute outdoor lecture
and herbal treats and tea for $175 per group. I am available for
lectures at your location for the same fee and can address the
following subjects:
-
Growing Herbs Organically
-
Herbal Appetizers
-
Putting the Garden to Bed for the Winter
-
Making Pesto and Salsa
-
Native Medicinal Herbs - Their Lore and Legend
-

BAKING APPLE PIE THE 18TH CENTURY WAY
As the fireplace in the keeping room heats the bake oven, we’ll
peel the apples and roll out the crusts. While they bake we’ll
make a batch of applesauce. We’ll enjoy a slice of warm pie
together and there will be some for you to take home. Our pies are
made with a variety of tasty apples from Kollas Orchard in
Tolland.
Saturday workshops take place during peak apple season
in October and November. Workshops begin at 1:00 pm
and last approximately 2 hours.
Cost is
$25 per person and a $10 non-refundable deposit is required with
pre registration. Please call Topmost Farm to register or send
your deposit to reserve a space. Class size is limited.
